Me!
Will I ever get enough alcohol in me to get shit faced?
Probably not.
But can I?
Hell yes I can xD
Lots of money for me to spend and a new tv, then celebrations at the barn then at disneyland.
It was a good day :D
awakeI guess enough has been going on. I'm kinda over the whole community college thing. I'm ready to just go to a 4 year school and get started on my actual degree. I've got to wait till next fall though in 2012 because that's just how lame the school system is in CA. Oh well. I got accepted to Iowa State, but I couldn't justify the cost since I would only be getting a degree in teachers education. What I would get back from working wasn't enough to justify 32k a year, though it's an amazing school.
I've gotten really involved in the equine program at school, though I doubt I'll ever go back to the animal science major. After my back injury I had to accept that a job with bending, lifting etc was just going to be too much to handle. But for now I enjoy this, and I've started lessons so I can show in western this coming fall. Funny, I leave one sport for the risk of back injury just to join another where I can get hurt even worse....ha ha :D I'm thinking maybe slowly taking horse ranch management classes if I continue to remain in the area. I want to eventually own my own ranch and use the horses for therapy....but I should probably focus on simply finishing school first huh? ;D
Also, I'm moving out. After 7 years of putting up with this whole grandmother thing I finally threw in the towel. I'm done. I'm sick of being in such a depressing atmosphere and having the whole thing interfering with school. So I'm going over to the student housing that Cal Poly Pomona offers to Mt Sac students. The housing contract was signed yesterday. Honestly I'm a bit pissed. I have to take out a loan for this shit because I can't afford it on my own. Oh well, at least it's federal loans...Now I'm just debating whether or not to leave for summer as well. Normally I'd stay home for summer, but A. I want out and B. I have school (I long for the day I can stop taking summer classes T^T) I'm trying to justify this move with the fact that I'm going to be 21 this summer and I couldn't stay at home forever. It's just the loan part that's killing me. Thankfully speech pathologists can make upwards 75k a year so while the repayment will sting I should be alright. Better than I would be on a teaching salary. Ugh, being grownup sucks.
I should probably go back to studying Bio huh? Y'know like a real adult....
blahSo here I am sitting at work bored off my ass so I decided to make an update seeing as I don't do this often anymore. What have I been up to? Not a whole heck of a lot. I finished school, went back for summer semester and I'm behind on work as usual.
My 20th birthday- um....yay? Not much to say on that. It's an awkward age. Oh well.
Anime Expo- Yay for a gathering for nerds :D I spent most of my time wandering around the exhibit hall spending my money on doujinshi's and Yaoi. That being said lets look at my stock.
. Pathos- omg yaoi vampire love. I wasn't so crazy on the art but the storyline was good but a little sad. I couldn't have a hot vampire threesome :( Oh well. Overall well written and definitely one to keep in my collection.
, Crimson Spell- I love this series. The first book was great but I gotta read the scans for the second and beyond because the second is out of print and sells for over a hundred bucks. I love my yaoi but I don't know if I love my Yaoi that much X3
. Yellow- I didnt nessicarily buy these at AX but I finally got a hold of the original first book. Gangs, Drugs, and two guys. One gay while the other is decidedly hetero. I've always been a big fan of Makoto Tateno but this is easily my favorite series.
I have another one coming called "A Foreign Love Affair" which I spent 20 bucks on but since it's slowly becoming rarer it'll gain value very quickly :D I also want "Gay's Anatomy" but I think I'm gonna wait to read the scans first....
Hm....I'm sad. Crimson Spell V.2 went on ebay for 70 bucks D: Damn me and my cheapness!
Not much else to say. Time to clean up. Yaaaaay
*crawls back to the computer war torn.* I swear I thought I was going to die this semester. 2 six week classes.....T^T The first one Psychology of Human Sexuality wasn't bad. I tend to do fairly well with psych classes, but Japanese....oh my god Japanese. That class was hell on earth. Nice professor and all, but he wanted way to much than we were capable of in a six week class. He saved Kanji until the last 3 weeks and expected us to memorize 10-15 of them in 2 days. My Chinese friend told me it was ridiculous/impossible. Thankfully the nightmare is over now. I made it through with a C which I nearly cried over out of sheer joy XD
Now that winter is over I've been playing a bunch of video games. Mainly Uncharted and Final Fantasy XIII. I got the Japanese version for 66 bucks because I couldn't stand the English cast OR the fact we switched the Japanese theme to a Leona Lewis song. I almost went ahead and got Birth By Sleep for my PSP but decided against it. Release in the US is supposedly set for Summer so I figure I can wait. Something about Disney Characters in Japanese that bugs me XD
I wanna go to Japan D: But I'll settle for Anime Expo and Comic Con this summer :D Florida will be...soon, I just don't know when. We constantly have recruiters at Sac for the college program but I don't know if I can afford to set myself back anymore. Especially when I gotta go all the way up to a Masters degree...hm....
So next semester....less than a week away....and I gotta start studying now...well I dont have to. But I should ;D Lets see the agenda!
MW- Japanese 3 (yay! educational masochism :D) 12:10-2:15; Math 51 (I hate my life) 2:50-4:35
TTh- Geology (idk? I randomly added this) 8-9:25; Geology lab 9:45-11:10; Art 15A (YAY!!!) 12-3:10.
So yeah...that's about all I have to say for now XD
mellow- I guess the big one was a PS3. I can't tell you how much I love this system. I have officially abandoned Nintendo. I'll always love it for the originals, but between this and my PSP I have officially sold my soul to SONY. So the games.
.Uncharted: Drakes Fortune- This game is quite addictive. Its a mix of RP and Shooting and definitely has a good storyline that makes you wanna keep going. Cant wait to get the next Uncharted game.
.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2- So I'm not one for Shooting games but holy shit the graphics on this game have just blown me away. The general idea of the game is your a solider fighting in the middle east. It takes a little to get used to the idea of this game but its generally fun.
.Dragon Age: Origins- This one...lol, it kinda feels like I'm playing World of Warcraft just with a different storyline that is more specific and directional rather than the free range that Warcraft is. Still its pretty fun to play.
.And I got the original Final Fantasy VII and VIII. Ah classics.
-World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King- I kinda got this one so I would be ready for Cataclysm when it came out. The only major change was the adding of death knights and my character is only level 30 so I cant play death knights yet. But its a good add-on to have.
-Tokidoki!- I was about to give up on this stuff. I'd been looking for a bag since October and I was in Macy's today when I spotted that someone had returned a 2007 fall bag that was authentic (but the f-ers switched the key chain for the previous summers model.) and on sale for 60 dollars, so I got it. Omg I love it X3
-Movie tickets- I'll never need to pay for movies again XD I have 5 of those things.
-the rest was just little oddities XD
So yeah that's it really. Hope everyone had an awesome holiday and now its time for a tradition.
( End of the year meme! )
bored
nerdyWhy yes I am, lol. I feel bad that I've been kinda dead here, but maybe I can start making this a regular occurance now. So what have I been up to?
.School
.Work
.Writing
.Work
.Expos and Cons
.Work
.WORK
Work: Yes work has completely owned my soul. So where am I working? Good ol' Raging Waters. I'm there almost 5 days a week as a lifeguard. Oh the joys of being one. Actually to be quite honest unless someones drowning its pretty dull. We just watch water XD But I love it. It's such a chill place to work.
School: Going for year two in two weeks with a total of 17 units. Yippe....! So far I have English 1A, Math 51 (*shoots self*) Child Development, Japanese 2, Intermediate Swim, and Guitar. This should be an interesting semester...
Writing: *stabs her muse* My story For You I Will's sequal had me stumped beyond belief. Honestly I wanna throw the laptop out the window at times but considering this is my only source of internet I wont lol. So for now I'm working on another story related to my FYIW series.
Expos and Cons: Anime Expo and Comic con were AWESOME this year and omg I'm so broke even though I work. T.T
So yeah thats all thats been going down right now. If I think of anything else I will say so later on :P
boredI just found out that the Japanese seiyus Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki) and Fumiko Orikasa (Rukia Kuchiki) are the dub voices of Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez from HSM and HSM2. *falls over* I can't watch the Japanese dub of HSM anymore without laughing XD
Ok thats all, I think maybe one person on my flist will get a kick out of that *cough
xfkirstencough* :P
